training.

Today was pretty warm so after our after noon walk, I decided to pick back up on the come sit stay training. Roxie is a very quick learner and does extremely well in the back yard. In the back yard the only distractions are birds and squirrels which she can disregard, it's hard for her but she can do it.

The front yard is another adventure, the shinny cars are a big distraction. Its very hard to keep her focused in the front yard. She wants to play and watch the cars go by. This is frustrating no matter how cute she is.

Any suggestions?

Safety First

Since the recent rain every day Roxie has been just stirring around in the house. She Loves the outdoors and cant stand being coop up inside. I decieded to buy her a rain coat because her fur is very hard to dry every time she goes outside. we took a trip to pet smart and they had the cutest yellow rain coat, but only in sizes small and large. Roxie needs a medium. I was a little upset. but since Roxie didn't get her new rain coat i bought her a boster seat for the car. Its safer for her and she can look out the window. So instead of getting a nice new coat, she got a comfy seat that makes me happy because it's safer =]

The word no.

Today was the most productive day I have had in awhile.
Roxie let my alarm wake me up instead of her. very rare occasion

Roxie wrestled with edward outside while I worked out.
but while I took on the hard task of cleaning the mountains of clothes in my room she slept among them. While most dog owners would find her small body curled up around my hoodies adorable, I was nervous. Roxie's power naps are the most dangerous things, they can restore her energy to the point where she can jump right up the my chest.

With having my room spotless i was expecting a flash of brown dog to be running around outdoors, instead Roxie suntanned in one of the patio chairs. So I took her for a nice afternoon walk to try and perk her up ( she was looking a bit sluggish). That did just the trick! As i type she is running around outdoors and coming in to wrestle with edward. They are being quite loud and thankfully Roxie has learned the word NO! and seizes the nibbling on edward, for a small while.

but shes just so attractive.

First post

hmm. I have decided to become a blogger. I don't have a very interesting life but maybe someone will find it worthy of reading. until then it will be simply for personal use.

the majority of my posting will be about the love of my life. A small brown dog named Roxie.
I adopted her from one of my teachers. My father found a picture of her through an email sent out to all the teachers. she was adorable. and has just gotten more attractive. I have had her for three months now and shes one year old.

She enjoys being outdoor, where she spends most of time. Her being outside is entirely by choice, i would much rather have her inside playing with me but she feels it's her duty to make sure there are absolutely no squirrel or birds anywhere in her domain. I understand that this is a big job for her and she does not take it lightly.

Roxie's power naps are very dangerous. Just when you think you have her settled down and you can cuddle with her she perks up and is a terror once again. a lovable terror none the less.

I really should be getting to sleep since i have school. Oh I guess I should give you a smiget about myself... I'm eighteen years old a senior in high school and I work at Lowes Foods
